Anyone can browse. Adding plants needs a password, which exists only to keep spam out. There is no account, no profile and nothing to remember beyond the password itself.
How to get it
Email me and ask. Tell me roughly where you garden and what you are likely to record. I send the password back by return email.

What makes a good entry
- One plant, measured over time. The interesting data is the same plant at two, five and ten years, not a single snapshot.
- Honest conditions. Rainfall, soil and pH are what make the numbers mean anything. A guess is fine, but say so in the notes.
- Height and width in metres, to the nearest tenth. Eyeball estimates are welcome. Nursery labels are not, since checking those is the entire point of this site.
- A photo if you have one. Even a phone snapshot with something in frame for scale.
The rules
Keep the password to yourself. If it starts appearing in junk entries I have to change it, and everybody has to ask again. Entries can be hidden if they are clearly wrong, and you can email me to correct or remove your own.
